Thousands Flock to Pickering for Continental Market

Market Traders from across Europe were greeted by a large and friendly crowd in Pickering Market Place on Sunday. 20 stalls offering freshly cooked dishes including Spanish Paella, French Crepes and German Sausages. Plus a range of crafts such as paintings, wood carving and flowers made from wooden shavings.
The Market Place thronged with people from dawn until dusk, creating a carnival type atmosphere in the town.
Traders told me they were doing great trade, but more importantly - they were delighted with the warm and friendly reception in the town and they look forward to returning.
