Payment For Services
Payment method is usually on completion of an agreed service, at which time an invoice will be dispatched indicating the due by date. All payments for services should be received by the due by date. Where discounts are agreed they depend on payment being received by us before or on the due by date. Payments received after the due by date may incur either a loss of discount or a booking fee.
By paying for any service we provide you have indicated your satisfaction with the service or services provided. All billing will be invoiced directly from Nameline, Nameline is the trading name of David Roberts. The proprietor of this website.
Late Payment, and Internet Marketing or SEO Scams
Late payment of an account may potentially degrade the services provided to all clients. We watch out for spam ordering, these are when so called SEO's or internet marketing experts order a listing from us, then withhold payment - in the hope of manipulating the ranking of a client's website in order to extract a payment from them. Should we suspect such an occurrence - we may indeed contact the website owner to alert them to that practice. In extreme circumstances we may fund legal action against such practitioners.
Please note: We do not under any circumstances offer special discounts to internet marketeers or SEO's. If you wish to advertise with us, you can contact us directly for the best customer services and special offers. Please be aware: No SEO or internet marketeer can guarantee a listing for your website on Pickering Online.
Renewals
Payment for renewal of services is prompted by a pro-forma invoice. The pro-forma system provides clients with notice that a service is due to expire. It provides time for customers to decide if or not renewal is required. When payment is not received for the amount displayed on the pro-forma invoice and by the due by date, it indicates to us that the client no longer wishes to use the service provided and is happy for that service to expire at the end of the agreed period.
Termination
Cancellation by you
Please note: We require at least 30 days notice by email of the cancellation of any service. Please be aware, that if your cancellation includes the transfer of a domain name, it is a requirement that the domain name in question is paid up to date before we will process a transfer to another hosting provider. There are technical requirements needed in the process of transferring domain names. You should choose your new hosting provider carefully, as soon as we complete the transfer away from us - we completely lose control over that domain name. If your new host has not prepared properly in advance of the migration, there is potential for loss of services such as website broadcast or uptime, email and all other domain name associated services.
When a service is terminated due to non-payment, it may be possible to re-instate that service. The process will be dependent on what the service was. Some services such as domain name registration or website hosting come with technical issues which can cause complications should they be allowed to expire. You should never leave the renewal of domain names or web hosting until after the expiration date. Every reasonable effort is taken by us to remind clients of renewal requirements. It is entirely your own responsibility to ensure the vital services you require are kept up to date.
Cancellation by us
We have never cancelled a service provided to a paying client. We have on some rare occasions terminated services provided when the agreed payment has not been received. On all such occasions this has been through a so called internet marketing company - who have failed to pay for the service which they agreed to. We do reserve the right to cancel any service we provide without prior notice.
Refunds
Refunds for any service that are cancelled or terminated by either party that is still in contract are not provided.
